Butterfly House

This project focused on a concept design prioritising sustainability, integrating key features such as roof space optimised for solar panels and a comprehensive water harvesting system for the swimming pool, garden, toilets, and laundry.

The design brief called for an open-plan, double-storey residence with abundant openings to capture expansive views. To enhance the sense of space and connection, a curved mezzanine was introduced, overlooking the living area and creating a dynamic visual link.

The pool area, designed in an L-shape, bends into the interior, seamlessly connecting with a semi-covered BBQ area featuring an adjustable louvered system. This integration of indoor and outdoor spaces fosters interaction and entertainment.

The modern architectural design was inspired by the clean, geometric lines of Richard Meier, bringing a sense of elegance and timelessness to the home.
