2025 Off Grid Living Festival

On the 13th of April, I had the pleasure of speaking at the Off Grid Living Festival 2025, an incredible event celebrating sustainable living, self-sufficiency, and the diverse ways we can build a healthier relationship with our homes and the environment.

I was honoured to present at the Natural Buildings Tent, beautifully organised by Natural Building Australia’s team led by Rachel Goldlust. My talk focused on the benefits of Passive House principles for off-grid living and building health — a topic that resonated strongly with the audience. It was inspiring to see how keen and engaged everyone was, asking thoughtful questions and showing genuine enthusiasm for designing homes that are not only energy efficient but truly nurturing to live in.

The festival itself was a vibrant and diverse gathering, bringing together people from all walks of life who share a commitment to natural materials, sustainable building practices, and a lighter footprint on the planet. Beyond my own session, I had the chance to explore many fascinating stalls and talks, and I came away having learned so much more about natural materials and innovative approaches to building and living sustainably.

It was a wonderful reminder of how important it is to keep sharing knowledge, learning from others, and staying connected to the broader community of people striving for a healthier and more earth-friendly future.

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who attended the festival — and to those passionate about creating homes that are rooted in nature, I look forward to seeing where your journeys take you.
